Quad or buggy on Ibiza: coastal tours at €90 to €240 and what the price covers
Updated October 18, 2026 · 6 min read
If you want to drive yourself through the Ibiza countryside and along the coast, the coastal quad tour past beaches and cliffs is the first one to look at: 2.5 hours, €90, 4.8 stars from 230 reviews. A buggy costs more and is the better choice for two people who want to sit side by side. This page compares four of the tours of this kind, and is honest about what the summaries leave out.
The tours side by side
| Tour | Duration | Price | Rating | What it is |

| Santa Eulària ATV quad tour | 2.5 hours | €130, group of up to 1 | 4.9 ★ · 44 | countryside, cliff views, a swim |

There are more, for example the off-road buggy tour with guide and drinks at €220 for a group of up to two, with 30 reviews.
Read the price line
The prices are per vehicle, and the group size next to them is what the listing says it covers. A quad for one person at €90 means two people on two quads cost €180, not €90. A buggy at €240 covers up to two. So for a couple the comparison is roughly €180 for two quads against €195 to €240 for one buggy, and in a buggy you sit side by side. Check the number of riders on the booking page for each tour before you compare, because the listing wording differs between tours.
Quad or buggy
- Quad: cheaper, more exposed, and you ride alone on your own vehicle. Good for confident riders who want to feel the track. Dustier.
- Buggy: more expensive, a seat with a frame around you, and room for a partner. Better for couples, and a little more protected.
- Neither: if you do not want to drive, a Jeep tour at €115 (see the adventure tours page) covers a similar part of the island with someone else at the wheel.
Only the two Santa Eulària tours name a place in their titles, and Santa Eulària is on the east coast. The other listings do not say where you meet, so ask before you book, especially if you stay on the west coast around Sant Antoni.
What the summaries do not tell you
The listings are short, and the questions that matter are on the booking page:
- Licence and minimum age: many operators require a valid driving licence for the vehicle class. Check it before you book.
- Passengers and children: whether a child may ride as a passenger, and on which tour, differs between operators. The listings call the quad tour “ideal for couples, families and friends”, but that is not a statement about the age of a child.
- Safety kit: ask what is provided, helmet included. Closed shoes and long trousers are a good idea on dusty tracks.
- Insurance and deposit: ask about the excess you are responsible for in case of damage.
- Heat and dust: tracks in summer are hot and dry. Sunglasses and a scarf help.
When it is a poor idea
Skip the quad if you are afraid of driving, if you have a bad back and dislike bumps, or if you want a day by the sea. Skip it too if the booking page does not allow your child to come along. A day on the water is the alternative: see the boat trips page, or all the land-based options on the Ibiza quad, Jeep and hiking tours page, where this category starts at €61 per person.
Our choice
For most people: the coastal quad tour, because it has the most reviews, the lowest price and a rating of 4.8. For two people who want to share a vehicle: the guided buggy tour with the same rating and 114 reviews.
